Blind Tasting: New World vs Old World
Thursday, October 8th ![]() Few wine debates are as spirited as Old World versus New World, and this month's blind tasting is your chance to settle it for yourself. Three grape varieties, each poured twice — once from a classic European appellation and once from somewhere altogether different. No labels, no clues, just your palate and a theory to test. These monthly tastings are a fun, low-pressure way to deepen your wine knowledge, whether you are just starting out or have years of experience behind you. Work your way through the flight, take your best guess on variety, region, and vintage, and let our K&L staff guide you through the reveals. Part game, part education, and always a great time. Good luck.

Friday, October 9th ![]() Donn Chappellet saw something in Pritchard Hill's volcanic, boulder-strewn slopes that nobody else did in 1967. Nearly sixty years on, the mountain he pioneered produces some of the most age-worthy and complex Cabernet Sauvignon in California. This tasting is your chance to taste exactly why, spanning the full estate range from the Mountain Cuvée to the Pritchard Hill Cabernet that put this family on the map for good.

Saturday, October 10th ![]() A vintage declaration in Champagne is not a given. It is a deliberate choice, made only when a year is exceptional enough to stand on its own without the safety net of a multi-vintage blend. The bottles in this lineup all earned that distinction, and tasting them side by side is an illuminating experience. Growers and houses, Blanc de Blancs and Brut Rosé, 2015 through 2019. Every bottle is dated for a reason, and every pour is worth your attention.
