Wine School: How Wine Gets Its Color
Thursday, October 22nd ![]() Color in wine is not as simple as red grapes make red wine and white grapes make white. Skin contact, fermentation decisions, and winemaking technique all leave their mark, and the results can be genuinely surprising. This month’s Wine School works through five wines that together tell the full story, from a crisp Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc to a skin-fermented orange wine. Come learn with us.

Friday, October 23rd ![]() Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a blend, and a complex one. But the grapes that go into it are stars in their own right across the wine world. Grenache lighting up the Sierra de Gredos. Syrah finding its footing in Crozes-Hermitage. Mourvèdre at home in Bandol. We're celebrating each variety where it shines before bringing them all together in a Châteauneuf-du-Pape that shows what they are capable of when the right winemaker puts all the pieces together.

Saturday, October 24th ![]() New arrivals, serious bottles. This tasting opens with a vintage Franciacorta that holds its own against anything in the traditional method world, moves through a Lugana Riserva from the shores of Lake Garda and a rare Susumaniello from Puglia that most people have never encountered, and closes with two Barolos from the fog-covered hills of the Langhe. Italy never runs out of things to say, and we'll keep passing the word along.
Lineup is subject to change. Walk-ins permitted as capacity allows.
