This week, we're covering all the bases with a rosé, white, and red, each offering something a little different for the table. From a returning Provence favorite to a classic Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc and one of the standout Bordeaux buys of the vintage, there's something here for every mood, menu, and occasion as we settle into the glorious fall season. First, the 2025 Domaine la Colombe Coteaux Varois en Provence Rosé is back in stock, bringing with it everything we love about this perennial Direct Import favorite. Grown in the limestone-rich hills of Provence, where higher elevations preserve freshness, this charming rosé offers juicy white peach, strawberry, and watermelon, with a lively citrus note keeping everything bright and refreshing. There's just enough texture to make it a lovely companion to food, whether you're serving roasted chicken, grilled seafood, or putting together a leisurely weekend lunch. It's easy to see why this remains one of our most popular everyday rosés. Next, the 2025 Domaine Dominique & Janine Crochet Sancerre (K&L Exclusive) is a beautiful introduction to one of our favorite family estates in the Loire Valley. Working with vineyards around Bué and Sancerre, Dominique Crochet and his son Matthieu craft wines that capture the elegance and mineral character of the region's limestone, clay, and flint soils. The 2025 is particularly graceful, with delicate floral and herbal notes, a fine texture, and a lovely chalky freshness that carries through the finish. It's a classic, understated expression of Sancerre, and for those who enjoy exploring the estate's distinctive terroirs, we have two other Crochet bottlings worth discovering as well. Finally, the 2022 Malartic-Lagravière, Pessac-Léognan is shaping up to be one of the most compelling Bordeaux buys of the vintage. Jeb Dunnuck awarded it an extraordinary 99 points, calling it the finest wine he's tasted from the château, while James Suckling's 97-point review places it among the estate's best ever. Rich blackcurrant and dark cherry fruit meet savory herbs, subtle minerality, and beautifully polished tannins, with the depth and precision that make great Pessac-Léognan so appealing. With just over 8,000 cases produced and pricing that remains remarkably reasonable for a wine of this caliber, it's a particularly rewarding opportunity to cellar a benchmark Bordeaux for the next two decades or more.
