Blind Tasting: Back to Basics
Thursday, September 10th  Join us on the second Thursday of every month for our monthly blind tastings and put your palate to the test. No tricks this month. Six wines, six classic expressions from some of the world's most celebrated regions, and nothing connecting them except quality. Your job is the same as always: variety, region, vintage, and producer if you're feeling bold. No theme, no red herrings, just great wine and a chance to see how well your palate holds up. Friday, September 11th  Chardonnay is the most planted white grape in the world, and the range of what it can become is unlike anything else in wine. Ethereal and effervescent in Champagne, searingly mineral in Chablis, rich and layered in Meursault, and equally at home in the cool valleys of Oregon, the Margaret River, and the Santa Cruz Mountains. No other variety pulls off that range of variety while maintaining the same level of world-class quality.

Saturday, September 12th  Ask any serious Bordeaux lover about 2016 and watch their eyes light up. A near-perfect growing season produced wines of extraordinary balance and structure, and after a decade in bottle they are hitting their stride beautifully. We'll span the Left and Right Banks across six estates, and dive right into a phenomenal vintage at a decade in bottle.
