Another week brings a few new arrivals and old favorites worth knowing about. From an easygoing Italian white to a classic Napa Cabernet at a fantastic price and an absolutely compelling Scotch release, these are three bottles that caught our attention. First, the 2025 Tenuta Roveglia "Limne" Lugana has just landed, and it’s a terrific alternative for Sauv Blanc drinkers looking to branch out. It's made from Turbiana, a grape variety that's genetically identical to Verdicchio and grown in the mineral-rich soils near Lake Garda. It combines citrus, green apple, ripe peach, herbs and stony minerality with a creamy, lively palate and a subtle salty finish. Lugana is Italy's most-consumed white wine for good reason: it's delicious, versatile and remarkably easy to pair. Think light-fleshed fish, shellfish, soft cheeses or simply a glass on its own. Next, the 2022 Louis M. Martini Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon offers a chance to revisit one of Napa’s classic names at a jaw-dropping price. It’s currently 50% off, priced $15 less than our next-best competitor. Louis M. Martini has been making Cabernet in the valley for generations, and the 2022 carries that tradition forward with ripe plum, blackberry, redcurrant, loamy earth and charred spice, all framed by elegantly structured tannins. It’s generous enough to enjoy now but has the structure to develop beautifully over the next several years. Buy a few for now and a few for the cellar. It’s a no-brainer for classic Cab lovers. Finally, the Dornoch Distillery Redacted (Thompson) Bros 9 Year Old "TB/BSW Final Release" Blended Scotch Whisky (700ml) is a fascinating continuation of one of the Thompson Brothers’ most unlikely successes. Rather than recreate the original, they held back a portion of the same extraordinary stock and gave it three additional years in cask. Legally a nine-year-old blend, the whisky is overwhelmingly 15-year-old, heavily sherried single malt from the same coveted Speyside source that made the earlier release so memorable. It’s an unusual bottle with an even more unusual story, and this final release marks the end of the project. Grab it while you can!
