First, Sancerre lovers know that true greatness comes from site and stewardship, and few capture that balance better than Domaine Dominique & Janine Crochet. Farming some of the finest vineyards in Bué, this benchmark family estate—founded in the 1980s by Dominique Crochet and now joined by his son Matthieu—produces Sancerres of remarkable purity and precision that rival the region’s most celebrated names while remaining outstanding values. The 2024 Domaine Dominique & Janine Crochet Sancerre is rooted in classic Kimmeridgian limestone and clay soils, where cool nights and a long growing season preserve tension and clarity, yielding a Sauvignon Blanc defined by lifted aromatics, chalky minerality, and a precise expression of the historic Loire terroir. And for even more precise expressions, check out these two single-vineyard desginates from Domaine Dominique & Janine Crochet. Next, the 96-point 2020 Adelaida "Estate - Viking Vineyard" Adelaida District Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon delivers serious pedigree and polish at a jaw-dropping 50% off—a true bargain by any measure. Drawn from estate fruit and patiently aged in 50% new French oak barrels, the wine layers black currant and dark cherry with notes of cedar, graphite, cocoa, and savory herbs. The palate is concentrated yet refined, balancing ripe, grainy tannins with freshness, mineral drive, and a long, confident finish. Powerful but composed, this is Paso Robles Cabernet firing on all cylinders—and wildly underpriced for the quality in the glass. Finally, 1999 Chateau De La Grangerie 25 Year Old K&L Exclusive Single Barrel #53 Cask Strength Armagnac stands as one of the most stunning values we’ve encountered in mature brandy. Sourced from a neighboring property and aged for decades beyond what its price suggests, it channels the classic old-school Armagnac profile—deeply developed, richly layered, and unapologetically expressive, with the kind of concentration and wood integration only long aging can deliver. This isn’t really about a “deal”—it’s about profoundly delicious, ultra-aged Armagnac that won’t remain within reach forever. Even more K&L-Exclusive Armagnac treasures can be found here.
