The palate delivers scintillatingly fine, fresh and very elegant tannins that carve a long, linear shape and leave fresh raspberries and cherries on point. Excellent pinot from this elevated, coastal site. Drink or hold.

There’s a gently meaty element, too, with spicy notes dealt into the fresh, ripe fruit. This has such integral fruit presence and a seamless, silky palate, infused with supple and glossy tannins. Very even, this holds cherry and blueberry flavors so long and so pure. Impressive concentration here. Drink or hold.

The palate has sturdy tannins that hold sway from start to finish in assertive, lip-smacking style and carry ripe red plums and cherries long on the finish. Drink or hold.

92 pts · Wine Advocate · April 2018 Pale ruby-purple colored, the 2015 Pinot Noir Heaven and Earth has a nose of chocolate-covered cherries, mulberries and potpourri with hints of raspberry leaves and dried Provence herbs. Light-bodied, vibrant and refreshing in the mouth, it has a good core of red fruit and chewy tannins, finishing with an herbal lift. (LPB)

I am quite certain that there is plenty of nuance yet to emerge, but at present the 2015 is very much closed in on itself. Even so, the wine possesses impressive density, persistence and aromatic complexity. Readers will have to be patient with this inward, tightly wound Pinot. 91+ (AG)
