This is the only brand of Champagne glass I use at home. It’s not that I don’t appreciate traditional flutes, but I find that this sommelier-designed glass gives Champagne a more concentrated, expressive nose while keeping the bubbles lively far longer. It feels closer to a traditional wine glass—the kind I use when tasting and evaluating Champagne.

I like to keep a few styles of these glasses on hand—one that’s durable and affordable for casual entertaining, and another that’s lighter and more delicate for special occasions or more careful guests (including most of my coworkers… most). Each version shares the same elegant design, but the feel in hand offers just the right touch for any setting.

We’ve carried the Lehmann “Jamesse” Champagne glasses at K&L for quite some time, but it wasn’t until I spent several days drinking from them in Reims and Épernay that I truly fell in love with their shape and style. Visit Champagne, and you’ll find these glasses in nearly every winery, Champagne bar, and restaurant—and for good reason.

Flutes are far too narrow to let Champagne’s aromatics truly soar, while standard wine glasses allow the bubbles to dissipate too quickly.
