This collection represents one of the strongest cellars we have handled in some time, built by a prominent California winemaker from exceptional sources, the great majority acquired directly through K&L and stored professionally under temperature control from release to today. Provenance of this order is rare, and it shows in the roster: a sweep of Bordeaux First Growths across their benchmark years, led by the 2010 Latour, crowned 100 points and widely regarded as the wine of that legendary vintage, alongside the 100-point 2016 Mouton Rothschild and a 100-point 2015 Cheval Blanc. There is a six-vintage vertical of Château Margaux running from 2009 through 2019 and anchored by the near-flawless 2015 and 2016, a full original case of 2005 Haut-Brion, and true collector trophies in single bottles of 2018 and 2019 Pétrus, 2016 Le Pin, 2019 Ausone, 2019 Lafite Rothschild, and 2019 La Mission Haut-Brion. From Burgundy, three bottles of the 2014 Ramonet Montrachet Grand Cru in original wood offer one of the most coveted white wines on earth.

Italy and Spain run every bit as deep. The Super Tuscans are headlined by the 100-point 2016 Masseto, with Sassicaia in both the 2015 (Wine Spectator's 2018 Wine of the Year) and the 98-plus 2019, plus Gaja's single-vineyard Sorì Tildìn and Costa Russi in original cases. Spain brings a highlight not to be missed: a three-vintage run of Dominio de Pingus, 2017, 2018 and 2019, each in its original wooden case, with the 2019 rated a benchmark 98 points and regarded by many collectors as perhaps the finest Pingus yet made. For those who buy in scale, there is a remarkable group of large formats, ten double-magnums (3L) in original wood, almost all from the celebrated 2016 Bordeaux vintage, together with a set of imperials (6L). Every lot has been catalogued with clear condition notes and provenance, and with closings staggered across the week we would encourage you to set your bids early on the pieces you cannot afford to miss.
