First, 2024 Tenute Inverso "Anfora" Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is a tiny-production, low-intervention red from a small family winery in Ortona, fermented and aged entirely in terracotta amphorae to highlight the wine’s vibrant fruit and mineral character. It bursts with wild blackberry, plum, sour cherry, and violet. Layered with savory herbs and smoky minerality, it is energetic and medium-bodied with a fresh, mouthwatering finish that feels remarkably lively for Montepulciano. For a more traditional expression, the 2022 Tenute Inverso Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is the “classic” counterpart to the Anfora bottling, focusing on the pure, rugged charm of the Abruzzo backcountry, with minimal intervention and no oak influence. Next, back in stock is staff favorite 2023 Franck Millet "Insolite" Sancerre, a reserve cuvée from the Millet family’s chalky Caillottes limestone soils that delivers remarkable depth and character. Bright citrus and stone fruit notes of grapefruit and lemon custard mingle with lively minerality and a subtle saline lift on the finish. A longtime K&L staple since the Millets first introduced their wines to the team in 1994, it remains one of our most reliable Loire Valley buys for its freshness, charm, and value. Finally, the 96-point "fabulous" 2018 Hewitt "Estate" Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon is priced so sharply, you'll have to log on to Insider's Advantage to see it.
