There's a lot to love in this week's lineup, with a crisp and exuberant New Zealand white, a stunning Sta. Rita Hills Pinot from one of Santa Barbara's most dedicated producers, and a K&L staff-favorite Champagne that's back in stock and ready to fly off the shelf.

First, a 2024 Decanter World Wine Award Winner, the 2023 Esk Valley Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough is a reminder of why New Zealand continues to set the standard for this style. Bright notes of grapefruit, lime zest, passionfruit, and a touch of sea spray leap from the glass, while a small amount of barrel fermentation and lees aging add texture and dimension. Vibrant and refreshing but with more depth than expected at the price, this is an easy bottle to return to all summer long.

Next, the 94-point 2022 Jaffurs "Francesca Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir arrives at more than 50% off and offers a chance to revisit one of California's great cool-climate Pinot regions at exceptional value. Sourced from Sta. Rita Hills and made with significant whole cluster fermentation, it shows layered red and dark fruit alongside notes of earth, herbs, and spice, all carried by polished tannins and impressive balance. The style leans more Burgundian, making this one especially worth a closer look to pair with dinner tonight or stash away for up to a decade.

Finally, Launois is back in stock, with the Launois "Cuvée Réservée" Grand Cru Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne leading the way. As a direct importer, we've long admired this benchmark Mesnil producer for delivering the kind of depth and finesse that usually comes with a much higher price tag. Grand Cru, estate-grown Blanc de Blancs rarely feels this complete or this effortless to enjoy, and it is a great excuse to revisit the full Launois lineup.
