2 Labels, 1 Epic Blend—Highly Anticipated Compass Box Exclusives Have Arrived!

Compass Box and K&L have shared a close bond since the brand’s founding 25 years ago, seeing eye-to-eye on nearly every aspect of whisky making. Our first chance to collaborate came in 2011, when we approached legendary whisky maker John Glaser about creating a K&L exclusive. At the time we had access to almost anything—yet an exclusive Compass Box bottling still eluded us. That changed in 2015, when Glaser invited our spirits team to craft a bespoke blend from the Compass Box stocks. The result—“5th & Harrison,” a now-iconic marriage of old peated malt and sherry-matured whisky—became an instant trophy bottle.

Ten years on, Master Blender James Saxon has repeated the feat, building an equally thrilling batch for us. The recipe? A spectacular blend of 24-year-old Caol Ila, 23-year-old Bowmore, and 21-year-old Glendullan finished in fresh sherry casks—one of the most complex, “old-school,” and downright delicious malts we’ve ever offered. Even better, it’s priced exactly where the original release was a decade ago.

This time we’re releasing twin labels: one honoring our San Francisco home base, “5th & Harrison,” and the other celebrating our newest SoCal store at “Culver & Sepulveda.” The labels form a matching set—essential for collectors, whether you choose one of each or a few of both.
