K&L Tastings: Anonymous Wine Exclusives, Blanc de Blancs Champagne, & New Special Events

The Anonymous Wine Collective represents one of K&L’s most exciting value-driven projects, built on partnerships with some of the industry’s most respected—yet confidential—producers. This tasting offers a glimpse into how these distinct origins shape bottlings that speak for themselves without revealing the hands behind them.

This tasting explores the remarkable range of Chardonnay expression across six distinct Champagne terroirs, with each wine shaped by its village’s soils, exposures, and winemaking traditions. Together, they reveal how soil, microclimate, and winemaking shape Chardonnay into something crystalline, expressive, and unmistakably tied to place. Come and see how a single grape can take on strikingly different profiles across Champagne’s varied landscape.

Explore how time and age shape wine in this comparative tasting of current-release and back-vintage selections. Side-by-side pours highlight what bottle age brings to structure, aromatics, and texture, guided by our K&L Sommelier Services team.

This event has been a standout hit these last couple of holiday seasons, so we’re bringing it back once again!

Due to popular demand, we’re moving out of our store's tasting bar and into the Tsar Nicoulai Caviar Café in San Francisco's historic Ferry Building for this special experience. Join us to explore the art and nuance of Champagne and caviar production as you enjoy an exclusive lineup of Laurent-Perrier including two of their coveted Tête de Cuvée bottlings—Grand Siècle #24 (JS: 97) & Grand Siècle #26 (JS: 100)! Once again, we’ll be joined by our resident Laurent-Perrier expert, Naomi Smith, who will guide us through the rich history and story behind each Champagne being poured. These delicious selections will be perfectly paired with four distinct types of Tsar Nicoulai caviar.
