Mid-summer calls for bottles that overdeliver, whether you're stocking up for backyard dinners, rediscovering Italian classics, or treating yourself to a high-scoring Napa Cabernet at an unbelievable price. This week's lineup covers all the bases, with fresh arrivals and standout values to explore. Let's dive in! First, 2025 GRÜNER by Etz Grüner Veltliner Kamptal (1L) proves that great everyday wine doesn't have to be complicated or expensive. Produced by the fourth-generation Etz family, who have farmed around Strass since 1898, this crisp, peppery Grüner is fermented in stainless steel and aged on the fine lees for added texture. At under $15 in a one-liter bottle, it's great to have on hand for picnics, cookouts, and spontaneous fun gatherings. Next, our Italian lineup continues to impress with the return of the 2023 K&L Discovery Series Italy, Barbera d'Alba Superiore sourced from one of Piedmont's most respected estates and made with the same care as its celebrated Barolos. It's a remarkable value at $19.99. Also newly arrived the 2011 K&L Discovery Series Italy Montepulciano D'abruzzo (Vintage Release) offers the rare chance to enjoy beautifully mature, estate-cellared Italian wine without the usual library-release price tag. Finally, 2023 Trois Noix "Rancho Pequeno Vineyard" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon is one of Napa's best values of the vintage, earning 97 points from Decanter while coming in at 60% below its suggested retail price. Produced by Jaime Araujo from a small Oakville vineyard, it showcases the balance and freshness that made 2023 such a compelling year for Napa Cabernet. Be sure to explore the rest of our Trois Noix offerings for more fantastic values thanks to our talented buyer.
