Whether it is a new allocation or an old favorite, below you will find our most recent additions to the diverse selection at K&L Wine Merchants. We receive new opportunities weekly, from direct imports to local distributors to carefully inspected back-vintage collections—read on for the best of this week's discoveries. First up, a collectible Gattinara duo from one of Piedmont's greats: 2020 Nervi-Conterno "Vigna Molsino" Gattinara and 2020 Nervi-Conterno "Vigna Valferana" Gattinara are now in stock! Purchased in 2018 by Barolo star Robert Conterno, the wines of Nervi-Conterno have never been more profound or sought after. Founded in 1906, Nervi is the oldest cantina in Gattinara, and their impressive holdings, including two of the appellation’s greatest crus—Molsino and Valferana—have truly reached new heights in recent years. These collectible 2020 releases provide incredible insight into the future of this historic estate. Next, a reload of the 2009 Domaine de Chevalier Rouge. This 97-point stunner, praised by Robert Parker as "gorgeously complex in that ethereal Graves style," and more recently described by Jane Anson as "delineated and precise," comes from a Château we continue to admire year after year. A benchmark vintage from this eminent left-bank estate, we are thrilled to have secured more of this exceptional wine. Finally, an exciting new "Faultline" release from Ardbeg. The 1997 Islay Mystery (Ardbeg) 26 Year Old "Faultline" K&L Exclusive Single Refill Hogshead Islay Blended Malt Scotch Whisky is a rare find and "one of those bottlings that we're simply honored and lucky to have been able to snag under the Faultline label," says K&L Spirits Buyer David Othenin-Girard. An exalted release that won’t stick around for long—don’t wait to act.
