Defined by its rugged topography, marine influence, and patchwork of microclimates, the region is home to a fiercely independent community of growers and winemakers who prize character and place above all else. Many of the vineyards are dry farmed on steep slopes, with low yields and minimal intervention, revealing a raw and unfiltered expression of California terroir. Join us for a special tasting that uncovers the untamed spirit and deep-rooted history of one of California’s most compelling and under-the-radar wine regions.

California's Judgement of Paris Wineries: Where Are They Now? Saturday, May 24th ![]() On May 24, 1976, a quiet blind tasting in Paris changed the course of wine history when California wines triumphed over their French counterparts, stunning the world. Nearly five decades later—on the very same date— we’re celebrating that revolutionary moment with a tasting that revisits the legacy of the domestic producers who helped define it: Chateau Montelena, Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, Heitz Cellar, Clos du Val, Chalone Vineyard, and Freemark Abbey. This is a rare chance to explore how these trailblazing wineries have evolved while staying true to the vineyard sites and philosophies that shaped their legacy. Join us as we honor a defining moment in American wine by tasting through its living history.
