Join Us In Store This Friday and Saturday
Greetings K&L friends!
The rosters are set for this weekend's in-store tastings, so please mark your calendars for an evening (or two) of fascinating and fun exploration with your fellow wine lovers and our K&L staff. Read below for more details on this week's themes.
In addition to our weekend tastings, we regularly host or participate in other Special Tasting Events and Dinners. Also, don't forget, you can always explore in more depth on K&L's On the Trail blog with buyer/winemaker interviews, special reports, and more—straight from the vineyards!
The Rhône's Greatest Collectible All-Stars $75 Per Person
Friday, June 21st 4:00PM-6:00PM in all locations
K&L Rhône Buyer Keith Mabry has dug into our allocations for some absolutely top-flight wines for this Friday’s tasting. Suffice to say, there are few more iconic bottlings in the Northern or Southern Rhône than these. Names like Chave, Beaucastel, and Guigal make an appearance, along with a pair of insider's cult favorites in a WA98-100 Châteauneuf new release and an ex-château 2001 Côte-Rôtie.

South America's Undisputed Icons $30 Per Person
Saturday, June 22nd
3:00PM-6:00PM — K&L Hollywood 3:00PM-6:00PM — K&L Culver City 1:00PM-4:00PM — K&L San Francisco 1:00PM-4:00PM — K&L Redwood City
While it's no secret that South America makes some tremendous wines, the progress that’s been made in the last five to ten years has been spectacular, especially among top estates
The reds are broad and powerful, with plenty of the opulence and intensity you’d expect from top Napa reds, but with significantly more natural elegance and finesse, coming from the high elevation and cooler nights that many of these wines see.
As a special intro, we have the 98-point 2021 Catena Zapata "White Stones - Adrianna Vineyard" Chardonnay Mendoza, arguably the best Chardonnay made in the southern hemisphere, every bit the rival of great white Burgundy.
