Wednesday, November 5th  Born from centuries of maritime trade, Sherry evolved as wines fortified for long ocean voyages, their character deepening in cask under the Andalusian sun. The chalky albariza soils of Jerez and Sanlúcar lend a striking tension and minerality that define each style, from the briny lift of Manzanilla to the layered complexity of Amontillado. The region’s unique solera system weaves generations of wine together, allowing age and freshness to coexist in remarkable harmony. This tasting celebrates the enduring traditions of Andalucía’s bodegas and the producers who continue to shape the soul of modern Sherry.

November Wine Club Tasting & Pickup Thursday, November 6th  K&L Wine Club Members—join us on the first Thursday of each month to taste a selection from all six of our wine clubs and pick up your current club shipment. Sip South Africa: Wines of the Western Cape Friday, November 7th  South Africa’s winemaking story stretches back to 1659, making it one of the oldest continuous wine cultures outside Europe. Early Dutch and French settlers established vineyards that still define the region’s viticultural identity today. The Western Cape’s dramatic landscapes—where ocean currents temper mountain slopes—have shaped a tradition that bridges the classical and the contemporary. This tasting reveals how South African wines capture both the lineage of Old World technique and the vitality of a New World spirit.

Grand Domestic Tasting Saturday, November 8th  Across the country’s most celebrated vineyards, American wine continues to evolve through vision, experimentation, and a deep respect for the land. Each bottle in this lineup reflects the diversity of soil and climate that gives domestic wine its unmistakable energy. This collection, personally selected by K&L’s domestic buyer Ryan Woodhouse, showcases producers whose wines capture the precision and individuality of their sites—including multiple 100-point achievements. It’s one of our most anticipated tastings of the year, offering a vivid snapshot of how far domestic wine has come—and where it’s heading next.
