Special Tastings and Events The rosters are set for this week's in-store tastings, so please mark your calendars for an afternoon (or two) of fascinating and fun exploration with fellow wine and spirit lovers and our K&L staff. Thursday, August 14th  Join us on the second Thursday of every month for our monthly blind tastings and put your palate to the test These all-levels tastings are a fun and engaging way to deepen your wine knowledge—and drink delicious wine, of course! Using only your senses, you’ll attempt to identify the grape variety, region, and even the vintage. Taste your way through a selection of mystery wines from classic regions around the world, with expert guidance from our knowledgeable K&L staff. Part game, part education, this experience has something for everyone—whether you're new to blind tastings, just starting your wine journey, or a seasoned enthusiast looking to sharpen your skills. Windswept & Wild: Wines of the Islands Tasting Friday, August 15th  From volcanic slopes to windswept shores this tasting explores the extraordinary diversity of island wines, where rugged terroirs and maritime climates shape truly distinctive styles. From the volcanic soils of Sicily’s Mount Etna and Lanzarote, to the limestone-rich hills of Crete, to Sardinia’s sun-drenched Vermentino and bold reds, and the elegant, mineral-driven wines of Corsica’s Patrimonio—each glass tells the story of a unique island heritage and the flavors the sea and soil impart.

Italy Off the Beaten Path Saturday, August 16th  This tasting celebrates the hidden gems of Italy—wines from lesser-known grapes, producers, and regions that deserve a spot in any curious drinker’s glass. From the alpine freshness of Vespaiolo in Veneto to the volcanic character of Lacryma di Christi in Campania, from the coastal charm of Falanghina to the structured elegance of Teroldego from Trentino, each pour offers a glimpse into Italy’s rich diversity beyond the familiar names.
