A Napa Valley classic with a fun twist. This rich and flavorful wine has pleased generations of Chardonnay enthusiasts. BV have access to incredible fruit, with this rendition being sourced from their Los Carneros vineyards on the Napa side of the appellation. The result is consistently delicious and quaffable wines. This Carneros/Napa Chard includes an good dollop of Viognier in the blend adding a lovely exotic floral top note to the wine that dances amongst the ripe orchard fruits, poached pear, nectarine, honeysuckle and white peach. There's a distinctive flinty mineral undertone, too. Textured and ample on the palate, with nice juicy acidity to boot. There's a lot to love here especially at our WAY too-low-to-show Insider's Advantge discount price!

James Suckling:
"Dried apple and pineapple with hints of coconut, steel and some flint. Full-bodied and tight with intensity and power. This will open nicely with bottle age. Try after 2022." (07/2021) 92 points
Vinous:
"The 2019 Chardonnay is a unique wine, as it includes a fair amount of Viognier that adds pretty floral and tropical overtones. Apricot, mint, tangerine oil, chamomile and dried flowers all open nicely in the glass. (AG)" (01/2021)
