Equinox is Orin Swift's most exclusive wine club, representing fifteen years of dedicated work. Membership is limited, offering two annual deliveries—one in spring and one in fall—each containing six bottles. These deliveries feature a brand new, unique wine, either red or white, produced exclusively for Equinox members, complete with a distinct label.
2022 Scattered Stones Red Blend
Scattered Stones explores winemaking's core elements: nature and nurture. This deep purple wine offers aromas of wild blueberry and lamb tagine, with a rich palate of black plum and blackberry, finishing with bright acidity.
2022 Mercury Head Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2022 Mercury Head displays an opaque garnet core with a dark cardinal rim and purple tinges, offering a nose brimming with blue fruits, blackcurrant, licorice, baking spices, lavender, and crushed gravel. The palate is a balanced flood of blackberry, dark chocolate, espresso bean, and blue and black fruits, finishing long with blueberry reduction, chalky tannins, and hints of Herbs de Provence.
You Go First Sparkling Wine
This brilliant white gold wine offers a fragrant spectrum of Granny Smith apple, Meyer lemon, and toasted brioche. Fresh and crisp, it reveals essences of blanched almond and macadamia, framed by a velvety mousse and a racy acidity that leads to a satiating finish of lemon meringue.
2022 Firebent Chardonnay
This Napa Valley Chardonnay, crafted from exceptional Stagecoach Vineyard fruit, is barrel fermented and aged sur lie for nine months in firebent French Oak. The wine offers immediate aromatics of ripe peach and caramel, with a silky palate of Bosc pear and lemon meringue, finishing with a soft, acidic lift and hint of caramel.
2023 Advice from John Merlot
The wine presents dominant aromatics of blackberry pie, black plum, sage, and lilac. A rush of dark fruits floods the mid-palate, complemented by savory notes of fennel and licorice, leading to a long finish where espresso bean and blackberry concentration fade with soft tannins.
