JustVibe calls itself a search engine for doing: type what you need, "split the ski trip five ways" or "compare these two mortgage offers", and instead of links it renders a working app, right there, in minutes. Lianghao Chen (@chenlh) already rebuilt search once at The Yes, the shopping search startup Pinterest bought, before leading AI work at Pinterest itself.
🔥 Our Take: Search engines answer questions. They have never done tasks, and Google bolting AI answers on top didn't change that: an answer is still reading. JustVibe's real competitor isn't Google anyway, it's ChatGPT, where people already ask for little one-off tools and then lose them in chat history forever. That's why the Library is the actual product here. Every app you generate is saved, reusable, and editable by chatting at it, and Chen says power users are sitting on hundreds of personal apps within their first weeks. If that number is real, the search box is just the front door.
