Quick: Name the biggest tech startups that havenβt gone public. Too late β theyβre all getting ready to file IPOs.
Last week, OpenAI, Anthropic, and SpaceX all took steps toward public offerings. SpaceX filed confidentially and could start trading in July, while OpenAI may have filed by the time you read this. And Anthropic is making all the right moves for going public. (Health tracker Oura also filed on Wednesday.)
Between them, the companies have raised over $200 billion from investors. Apparently, thatβs still not quite enough to a) get to AGI and b) get everyone on Elonβs rocket to Mars if AGI goes berserk. Hence, the need for public stocks.
They may not have emerged on Product Hunt, but plenty of IPOs did get their start here, including Figma last year.
Can you name some others?
