If you love Amazon and eBay but wish they were more like social media, you’re in luck. Whatnot, which bills itself as “the live shopping marketplace,” is gaining steam. It’s now valued at $20B, up from its $11.5B valuation late last year.

Whatnot lets sellers hold flash sales and rapid-fire auctions, like an online QVC on speed. The YC startup first launched livestream auctions for collectibles in 2020, but it’s not the only marketplace site on Product Hunt. Here are five with launches this year:

• Seller by Facebook lets you finally manage your Facebook Marketplace sales on a standalone app—no need to go through your Facebook feed.
• Mito Health is all about mixing and matching the lab results you need without the ones you don’t; go there to create a customized blood panel. 
• BlenderHunt is a niche marketplace for Blender users to find and sell open-source creations.
• frontpage.sh is like the Million Dollar Homepage but for eight squares of ad space – every time a new owner comes along, the previous one gets a refund. 
• Truck Parking Club is like Airbnb for truck and trailer parking spaces across the U.S. 

Last year, we named Wispr Flow the Best Overall AI Dictation App. This week, it got better, introducing Notetaker. Notetaker captures multiple streams so that every speaker in a meeting shows up under their correct name instead of as “Speaker 4.” 

We checked in to see what else is new in AI dictation:

• Willow Voice was our choice for Best AI Dictation for Email and Messaging. And it’s shipped five times since winning, most recently with its powerful Frontier Pro and free Frontier Mini models.
• Zen Whisper, which launched last week, is on a mission to make Mac dictation more usable, taking it away from the cloud and letting it work easily across apps.
• Lispr works on Mac, putting your spoken words into the app you’re in—and translating into multiple languages.

I really like seeing how many enthusiastic male founders are here, but sometimes I find myself looking for more female founders and their stories.

I’ve personally faced some of the stereotypes around this – that women are usually more cautious, don’t take as many risks (including business risks), and that the “ideal path” is to have a stable job and follow a more traditional way.

But I genuinely enjoy building things, learning, experimenting, and feeling that adrenaline when you’re running a business and figuring things out as you go.

I would love to see more women like that represented in this space.

What do you think we could do to encourage more women to enter entrepreneurship, build products, and share their journeys?

(I think it could help to create a Women's Product Hunt week where women founders would contribute AMAs, webinars, interviews with a woman founder in a newsletter, etc.)
