Pally spent a year as a personal CRM before its founders rebuilt it as an assistant that lives entirely in iMessage: it replies to your unread DMs in your tone, books tables with a real phone call, and buys things on locked one-time virtual cards.

🔥 Our Take: To sound like you, Pally has to read your real messages first, and the founders don't hide that there's a cost to it. Letting it book a flight is one thing. Letting it text your mum before you've seen what it wrote is a different kind of trust, and it hasn't earned that yet.

Cursor Crane puts hint labels on every window and element on your Mac, not just links in a browser, so you can click, select text across lines, or work multiple windows without your hand leaving the keyboard. Its Text Area Portal feature opens any input field, anywhere on your Mac, in a real editor like VS Code, then syncs your edit back in.

🔥 Our Take: ShX Guo built this because hint-based navigation is how he already works, and he kept hitting the same wall: multiple windows, text across lines, tiny input fields with no real editing tools. Text Area Portal is the actual fix, opening any field on the whole system in a real editor instead of just the browser. Built to scratch one person's own itch instead of chase a trend, and that's usually the kind of tool still working in a year's time./span>

🔥 Our Take: Free Dock widgets tend to go quiet a month after launch. This one's hover preview, seeing what's open before you click in, is good enough on its own to be worth the install. Peter built it because the dead space actually bugged him, not because he ran the numbers on a market first, and that's usually the difference between an app that keeps shipping and one that doesn't.

terranicgerald (@terranicgerald) posted the habit that stops him merging AI code just because the tests passed: make the agent explain its logic, verify that against something outside its own context, then own the decision.

Vollos (@vollos) made it concrete: for anything touching auth, resend the same request as a second account that shouldn't see the data. If the row comes back, the code was wrong, no matter how good the explanation sounded.
