Another week, another round of new, attention-grabbing bottles on our shelves at K&L. From the kind of values that make you look twice to bottlings that come with stellar reviews from trusted critics, these are the sorts of wines we’d happily pour for friends. Here are three that caught our eye this week.

First, the 2019 Clendenen Family Vineyards "The Pip" Santa Maria Valley Nebbiolo (Winery Direct Library Release) is a particularly charming library release, and its Insider's Advantage pricing makes it even more tempting. Black plum, juicy berries, dried rose, lemon balm, rooibos tea and a touch of tar unfold over a stony, mineral palate. It’s light on its feet, beautifully balanced and wonderfully easy to enjoy with food. “The Pip” has also had plenty of time to develop, spending three years in large Hungarian oak puncheons before aging another year in bottle, followed by seven more years of rest. Next, the 2024 Valmiñor Albariño Rias Baixas earned an impressive 97-point Platinum award from Decanter, and it’s easy to see why. Bright citrus, ripe peach, passionfruit and floral notes lead into a fresh, saline palate with the kind of mineral character that makes Albariño so irresistible. Unoaked and beautifully aromatic, there’s plenty of fruit and texture here, while the wine remains crisp and focused, making it a natural companion for seafood, tapas or simply a sunny, late-summer afternoon.

Finally, the 2021 10 Ninths "Radius" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir is a fascinating inaugural vintage, earning 95 points from Vinous and 94 points from Wine Enthusiast. It’s now more than 40% off retail through our Insider's Advantage. Organically grown and regeneratively farmed, the wine comes from individually harvested vineyard blocks of four Pinot Noir clones, each fermented separately to reveal the character of the property. Small-lot spontaneous yeast fermentation, selective whole clusters, and French oak add nuance and intrigue. Only 275 cases were produced, so grab it while you can.
