Let me see. One is Martyr—it’s a smart satire about art and self-destruction, apparently. James is another one—it's from the perspective of Jim from Huckleberry Finn. Apparently it’s incredible. Headshot is supposed to be great—it’s about women boxers. And The Husbands is supposed to be really good, too. I don’t really read nonfiction on vacation. I just wait until vacation, and then I’ll read like six novels in two weeks. | This summer I’ve been using Kosas regularly—it has a little tint, so it helps conceal flaws. I also really like Supergoop for the body. And Dune, actually, which I think Apple introduced me to—it has a really nice finish to it. |
I mean, I have my TM mantra—that’s probably the closest thing to a daily mantra. But lately I’ve been orienting toward the big picture. I’m really trying to pull out of the minutiae that make me feel stressed. I guess it’s like: Think in abundance. That helps my perimenopausal anxiety. If I think in abundance, then it helps me calm down. |

I don’t wear heels anymore. Ever since COVID, I just wear flats. I have a pair of Celine sandals from at least 10 years ago that I just had resoled. I also have an old pair of Hermès sandals I love—they’re brown and strappy. And I have these Venetian gondolier slippers I got in Italy that I wear all the time. From the shop, I really like the ATP Atelier Alassio sandals. They’re really nice. |
I’m usually a Ray-Ban Wayfarer kind of girl. Just classic. |
I’ve been using this HeartMath thing a lot. You clip it to your ear and open the app, and it helps you downregulate. It’s really cool. I also do peptides—thymosin and epamorelin injections. |
One thing I’m learning is a kind of pain processing therapy which is having a great effect on my nervous system. Essentially it entails going into a hard memory and just sitting with it, helping your brain to understand that there is no current threat, and creating or changing a neural pathway. |
Um, actually, you know, the other day we were standing by the pool and Brad grabbed me and sort of started slow dancing with me to no music. |
Alcohol. My go-to is something I call the Buster Paltrow. It’s a cocktail I made up with whiskey, maple syrup, and lemon juice. I eyeball it, but it’s usually about two shots of whiskey, one and a half of maple syrup, and one and a half of lemon juice. It’s delicious. |

Lots of Carolyn Bessette—that’s from mood-boarding for G. Label. And Melani from the We Do Not Care Club. I love her. |

There’s a great cheese shop down the street in Amagansett Square—Cavaniola’s. I love doing a big cheese board with different kinds of cheeses from there, plus pecans and dried fruit. Just a really big grazing board. I also like to wear a long, easy dress that’s chic but comfortable—something I can serve and clear in without having to think about it too much. |
My husband’s first cousin just got me a set of napkins with “Please leave by 9” embroidered on them. That was pretty brilliant. |
