Dear Golfers,
As we head into the summer stretch, I hope you’re having fun on the course. I’m off to a great start this year and excited to be featured in the June issue of Golf Digest.
I had a good week at Aronimink for the PGA, finishing in the top 10 at a major so close to where I grew up in New Jersey. We saw a little bit of everything out there, like high winds and both cold and hot temperatures. It was a good grind, and I was happy with how my game held up.
I’m playing some of my best golf right now, but at the end of the day my game is more like yours than you might think. I’m always working hard to get my setup and fundamentals right. I try not to get too steep with my swing, and I’m always dialing in more of a controlled fade. Wedges have been a big focus, too.
In a couple weeks, I get to play another major close to home when we go to Shinnecock for the U.S. Open. I grew up playing so many special courses in the New York area, and although I’ve only been to Shinnecock once, I love the course. I can’t wait to play in front of another home crowd.
Enjoy your summer golf.
Chris
