The reality TV star with an unreal hole-in-one tale

In case you haven’t noticed, we’re in the Golden Age of celebrity golf—and the timing has coincided nicely with Golf Digest’s “The Fringe” column. Starting with the February 2022 issue that featured baseball Hall-of-Fame pitcher CC Sabathia, it’s been a fun run of profiling golf-obsessed celebs as well as other cool stories surrounding the game.

And we’ve corralled them all here to make it easier to find articles on people ranging from Hollywood A-listers like Tom Holland and Owen Wilson to sports icons like Jerry Rice and Caitlin Clark to comedians like Nate Bargatze to stars from YouTube golf and even Broadway. It’s a wide range of subjects. And now, for the first time, we’ve entered the world of reality TV.

Joey Graziadei has quickly become a legend in that space, first as a finalist on “The Bachelorette,” then as “The Bachelor” himself before appearing on—and winning—“Dancing With the Stars.” He’ll be on the next season of “The Traitors,” and he’s now officially an actor as well with today’s release of Roku’s new rom-com, “The Holiday Spark.” The Christmas season seems to start earlier and earlier each year.

But the 31-year-old former tennis pro has quickly become a very good golfer as well. And he has a fantastic hole-in-one story to tell in the latest installment of The Fringe. Plus, we’ve got Bryson DeChambeau opening up on life as a bachelor away from the cameras, the PGA Tour finding a new (sponsorship) match and Nelly Korda moving closer to Hall-of-Fame status.

'I t's pretty much all I do': How Joey Graziadei became a golf sicko amid reality TV stardom

He's one of the select few to have a hole-in-one and a "Dancing with the Stars" win.

Nelly Korda hasn’t competed since the Solheim Cup in early September—spending time joining podcasts—and isn’t playing again until the LPGA returns to Florida for next week’s Annika Invitational. However, the 28-year-old World No. 1 is on the precipice of being one point away from earning a spot in the LPGA Hall of Fame. That’s because she’s all but a lock to win the 2026 LPGA Rolex Player of the Year award with three events to play. Korda has a 63-point lead in the standings over Haeran Ryu, 83 points over Miyu Yamashita and 84 points over Jeeno Thitikul. The only way any of the three can pass Korda is to win this week’s Toto Classic in Japan, then win the Annika and the CME Group Tour Championship to close out the season.

However, Thitikul and Yamashita (winner last week at the Maybank Championship) haven’t signed up to play the Annika, with the final deadline to enter coming Tuesday at 5 p.m. Eastern. Meanwhile, Ryu WD’s from the Maybank last week before hitting a shot and isn’t in the field this week in Japan. Winning the POY would give Korda her 26th career Hall of Fame point. The 27th point needed to earn induction could come with a win at the Annika (where she has won three of the last five years) or the Tour Championship.

Bryson DeChambeau is hardly the first successful person to achieve the ultimate goal and wonder "what now?" immediately afterward. And he won't be the last. He did, however, go a little deeper than that during a recent appearance on the "Figuring Out with Raj Shamani" podcast.

For DeChambeau, that ultimate goal was winning the U.S. Open, something he's now accomplished twice, first winning in 2020 at Winged Foot and again in 2024 at Pinehurst No. 2. Both were extra satisfying for the Mad Scientist because he did it his way—by overpowering two iconic venues with mammoth drives that consistently put him closer to the hole than everybody else.

But the work began long before DeChambeau's 2024 and 2020. Winning our national open, twice, was something he's worked toward his whole life.

The Nike SQ is by far the most infamous driver of the 2000s. Affectionately known as the "Sasquatch," the big yellow bomber became a meme following its retirement, known for its massive forgiveness and a clubface ring akin to that of a sawed-off shotgun. But was it any good? 20 years later, we still don't have an answer to that question, but for a brief moment in time, it was good enough for Tiger Woods, who won the 2006 Buick Invitational and Dubai Desert Classic with this uniquely spec'd Squatch, which heads to auction this week. Feast your eyes (and ears).

This particular example comes from the collection of late Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay, one of the great guy-stuff collectors of our time, owning everything from David Gilmour's iconic black Fender Stratocaster to Hunter S. Thompson's 1973 Chevrolet Caprice, nicknamed "Red Shark." It features Woods' signature across the clubface, as well as a variety of Woods' own modifications, including three uniquely placed pieces of lead tape, which remain undisturbed nearly two decades later.

This bold piece of golf history will be made available to the public via Golden Age Auctions when the Fall Premier Auction opens on Nov. 5.
