Revamped East Lake makes massive ranking jump

East Lake, host of this week’s Tour Championship, underwent a major restoration following the 2023 event, resulting in a massive jump in our latest course rankings. The restoration was led by Andrew Green, who used a 1949 aerial to help bring the course back to its Donald Ross heritage. Green’s changes included replacing bunkers and changing the shape of greens, which are much larger and possess a wider variety of hole locations and slopes than before. Almost every hole was dramatically revamped. See where the restored East Lake landed on our new course rankings.
