These are the clubs Scottie Scheffler used to win the Tour Championship and the FedEx Cup. Scheffler closed the door on another incredible season with a victory at East Lake, using irons modeled after those used by Tiger Woods. With the win, Scheffler will very likely go on to win his fifth consecutive PGA Tour Player of the Year Award, something that has not been done since Woods accomplished the feat from 1999 to 2003. For the week, Scheffler ranked first in strokes-gained/approach and first in greens in regulation, hitting 57 of 72 greens.

Often when rules official Mark Dusbabek is called into a telecast it’s to clear up a ruling or explain something in greater detail. On Sunday, at the Tour Championship, it was to look at video of Viktor Hovland in a bunker on the 13th hole at East Lake. In this case, Dusbabek seemed definitive on the scenario, saying, “We’ve looked at this video and it does not appear to us that he has touched the sand so it would not be a penalty in this case.”
In the clip of the potential infraction, you’ll hear silence from the CBS commentators, followed by analyst Trevor Immelman saying, “oooh, that looks pretty close right there.”

Some of the cool perks that come with retirement are gifts and Anna Nordqvist, who just played the final LPGA event of her career and made the cut at the FM Championship in Boston, received hugs, congratulatory texts, warm wishes, and a couple nice bottles of champagne. Both of those gifts had special meaning for the 39-year-old Swede. “I got a really, really nice bottle of, I think it was champagne, but I'm not sure. I don't drink a ton. That was from Lydia Ko the other day,” Nordqvist said. “It was a vintage of 2009 and that was my rookie year. When I got greeted off the 18th hole, I just received another of the same brand, and that was 2017, and obviously a very important year in my life because that was when I won my first major in Europe. I've had a lot of messages and a lot of support this week, so I'm very grateful.”
Nordqvist closes her career with nine LPGA titles and three majors. She will captain Europe in the Solheim Cup Sept. 11-13 at Bernardus Golf Club in the Netherlands.
