| Rising food prices and recent cuts to crucial nutrition programs mean nearly 48 million people are facing hunger across the country. There's enough food for everyone to have enough, but across farms, stores and supply chains, surplus food is constantly at risk of going uneaten, never purchased or simply unpicked—instead of to families facing hunger. Can you guess how much food goes uneaten instead of ending up on someone's plate?
It's a huge problem, but we're working on even bigger solutions—rescuing quality food and giving it a second chance to become a meal for our neighbors who need it most. As the nation's largest food rescue organization, we rescued billions of pounds of food like produce, protein and dairy products that would have otherwise gone uneaten last year.
