What people experiencing hunger want us to know

To end hunger, we have to listen to the people experiencing it.

That's why each year, we take the time to ask our neighbors to share their thoughts, ideas, worries, and dreams. And right now, at a time when the cost of basic needs like groceries and healthcare is out of reach for millions, it's more important than ever to listen.

Their words are insightful, moving, and illuminating. See for yourself:

  • "We as parents have already shortened our own food intake so our children can have full bellies."
  • "Everything seems to be creeping up in cost faster than my salary and it is getting harder to afford good food and eat healthy."
  • "Difficult days have brought my support team closer together to help each other."

These stories and perspectives paint a more complete picture of what hunger in America really feels like. And we're so grateful to our neighbors for their willingness to share their stories.

You'll find so much more in the pages of our 4th annual Elevating Voices: Insights Report.

Give it a read, and I'm sure you'll find some inspiration for being part of the movement to end hunger in America, and a deeper understanding of what we're facing.

Thank you, as always, for being here,
