Like so many people in our country right now, my husband and I both work hard, yet it's still tough to get food on the table for our family. The holidays can be especially hard, but our food pantry helps us make them brighter. The turkey, yams, and stuffing we get helps us share a special meal as a family.
The holiday food box is almost like opening a birthday box. It's just full of surprises! And it feels like a weight lifted off our shoulders. When we don't have to worry about how to make a holiday meal happen, we can just be ourselves. For us, joy is in sharing food—passing it around the table, the smells filling the house, seeing my goofy, wonderful family all together. Our hearts are as full as our plates.
