School meals are about to get more expensive for many neighbors. In Charles County, Maryland, the public school district announced an increase in school meal prices, noting it was "due to the increasing costs of food and labor the country is experiencing." It's one of many similar stories across the country.

Increased costs put even more pressure on families like Taylor's. She works full time and has visited food banks for a little extra help. "As a single mom, I don't have anybody to lean on. It is me," she said. "I've had to push through a lot to make sure my kids have everything they need."

Grocery costs are already up 32% since 2019. Now with school meal prices increasing, families like Taylor's could use a helping hand.
