| For me, Thanksgiving means returning home to Opelousas, Louisiana. Each holiday season, my siblings and I honor the memory of our mother by lining up our cars and distributing meals to the community, just like she did for decades. Today, Thanksgiving, I'm grateful. For my hometown where I learned about things that are bigger than myself. For my mother who taught me about service. For neighbors who demonstrate their strength daily. And for each person who takes action to end hunger—from my siblings in Opelousas to every corner of our nation, including you. I am especially grateful for the way communities have stepped up, with compassion and collective action, to support people who have unexpectedly found their paychecks and benefits interrupted this year. Thank you. Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Feeding America. As part of your holiday celebrations, if you are able, I invite you to mark this season of gratitude with a gift in support of neighbors in your community who don't have enough to eat. Your donation can be doubled up to $260,000 to provide twice as many meals, thanks to a group of anonymous donors. I hope your holiday is filled with joy.
