We must act fast. The Senate could vote as early as tonight to cut funding for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), our nation's most impactful response to food insecurity. Passing this budget resolution and budget reconciliation legislation would worsen hunger in America. SNAP works quickly to ensure people facing difficult times can keep nutritious food on the table. Reducing SNAP benefits would lead to unprecedented demand at food banks—making access to food even harder for the tens of millions of people facing hunger in the United States. This is urgent: Tell your senators to oppose any budget resolution that would allow cuts to SNAP.
Families across the country are facing so many hardships already—the cost of living gets more and more out of reach every year. Cuts to SNAP will make it even harder for individuals and families facing hunger to afford food and stay healthy. We all need nutritious food to thrive. Together, we can urge the Senate to oppose SNAP cuts that would hurt our neighbors experiencing hard times. Thank you for acting quickly. Sincerely,
