| You might not realize just how much food gets left in the field or thrown out before it even makes it to the grocery store, let alone your refrigerator. Not because it's bad, but because it's a little too big or too small, too lumpy or bumpy. Each year, billions of pounds of perfectly good food go to waste while people across the country face hunger. But as the country's largest food rescue organization, Feeding America partners with food manufacturers, grocery stores, restaurants, and farmers to rescue that food and deliver it to food banks serving our neighbors.
