| For millions of kids across America, when school is out, meals disappear. The summer months can be full of uncertainty as families work to fill the gap left without free and reduced-price school meals. But this Independence Day, we can help ensure that no child goes without the food they need to thrive. Summer meals do more than fill a plate—a nutritious meal fuels kids' confidence, concentration and momentum to learn and grow. The Feeding America network of food banks, together with our partners, is working to fill the gap left without school meals by providing fresh foods like fruits and veggies, bread for PB&Js, milk, yogurt and more.
