Throughout my life and career, I've realized that food doesn't only sustain life—it shapes it.

When I first moved to New York City, I lived in a run-down apartment making little to no money. Knowing how to prepare and enjoy nutritious and delicious meals powered me through each day. I learned then that food security is more than having something to eat: It's the comfort of knowing that by not having to worry about food, you can focus on your future.

That's why I'm so passionate about making sure kids and their families have access to nourishing meals, and proud to support Feeding America. Right now, thanks to generous match partners Sheryl Sandberg and Tom Bernthal, Feeding America is able to double the impact of donations, up to $550,000.

Nearly 48 million people face hunger across the country. Together, we can change that and build healthier, stronger communities. Feeding America works with food manufacturers, grocery stores, farmers and other partners to rescue surplus food and make sure it gets to neighbors, moving it quickly, safely and at scale.

Feeding America has a goal to raise $550,000 by April 15. Will you help us reach our goal by making a $25 donation today while your gift can be matched?

Right now, your gift can go twice as far to help rescue food and ensure that it gets to our neighbors facing hunger so they can thrive. Make a gift of $25 today, while it can go twice as far and can provide 500 meals.

Through my support of Feeding America and my own foundation, I've used my platform to support kids and their families struggling to put food on the table, because I believe that access to a nourishing meal is a right, not a privilege. Thank you for joining me.

Sincerely,

Rachael Ray.
