Focusing on schoolwork, following your teacher's instructions, or even getting along with other kids are all really hard when you're hungry. This is exactly what millions of children heading back to school right now are dealing with. Today, we're kicking off a Back to School Drive to give every kid a chance to excel this school year and beyond. Every child should have a chance to learn to the best of their ability, but that's just not possible when some kids are not getting enough to eat. Struggling with classwork, difficulty forming lasting friendships, getting into trouble—all are made more likely by having insufficient nutrition, setting kids on a path that will put future accomplishments further out of reach like graduation, college, and more. But when kids are fed, they have the chance to excel in school—and you can help make that possible. You can help provide a child with the food they need to thrive.
