U.S. hunger crisis grows: Feeding America is responding

Hunger in the U.S. is reaching a crisis level. High food and housing costs and recent government cuts to food aid are putting immense pressure on the Feeding America network of food banks. Nearly 50 million people—families, seniors, and kids—are experiencing the highest rates of hunger in over a decade. At the time I sat down to write this email to you, 60 percent of Feeding America network food banks have reported rising demand. The Community Response Fund will help food banks address this crisis now and prepare for the growing challenges facing us. Your support today provides crucial resources directly to our neighbors and their communities. Even though we are facing challenging times, something that I know is that good people rush in to help. And it's truly amazing what we can accomplish when we come together to help our neighbors. You can make a critical difference in ensuring neighbors can put food on the table.
