The Ruché grape has been grown and used to produce wine in Piedmont for hundreds of years but the Ruché di Castagnole Monferrato is a relatively new DOCG in Piedmont, it was introduced during the administrative revisions in 2010/2011 and the wines are starting to impress critics worldwide!
Ruché is characterized by its ruby-red color, medium to full body and moderate to high acidity. These wines are perfect to lay down in the cellar to enjoy as they develop but are also approachable young.
