Australian red wines often get the reputation of being heavy, jammy fruit bombs, but this effort from RedHeads is not that!
The 2021 RedHeads Catbird Seat Cabernet Sauvignon is a single-vineyard expression coming from Australia's renowned Coonawarra region. This area produces some of the finest Cabernet Sauvignon in all of Australia due to its terra rossa soils and cooler climate than much of the country.
The wine is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in French oak barrels for approximately 18 months. Flavors to be expected here are blackberry, blackcurrant, dark chocolate, tobacco, vanilla, and a bit of earthiness. Incredible complexity is coupled with firm tannins, balanced acidity, and a memorably long finish to make this an unforgettable drinking experience!
