Fattoria dei Barbi is one of the oldest and most famous estates in Montalcino, and their 2019 Brunello is one of the highlights of this classic and collectible vintage!

Barbi has been producing this wine in some capacity since the 1892 vintage, and the fruit comes from their very best vineyards in the heart of the "hill" of Montalcino. The superb 2019 vintage showcases everything fans love about Brunello: purity, elegance, and remarkable aging potential.

The wine opens with layers of ripe cherry, wild berries, cedar, baking spice, orange peel, and savory herbs before giving way to polished tannins and vibrant acidity that carry through a long, mineral-driven finish.

With scores of 95 Points from both Robert Parker's Wine Advocate and James Suckling, the 2019 Brunello from Barbi might be one of the greatest wines ever released from this famed estate!

The tannins are slightly chalky but supported by rich texture. This is from a widely distributed production of 160,000 bottles that will hit the market in January 2024.
