The Barossa Valley is a wine region and tourist destination located in South Australia. Wineries here produce a wide variety of wines but at the very top of everyone's list is their world famous Shiraz!
Shiraz is the exact same grape variety as Syrah but is stylistically very different from what you would find from places like the Rhone Valley or even California. These Barossa Valley wines are dark, rich, full-bodied expressions of the grape and are truly a pleasure to drink.
Greenock's Shiraz comes from a single vineyard of 80-year-old vines and spends a whopping 22 months in French oak. Hints of herbs like sage and mint are followed by layers upon layers of concentrated dark fruit.
This is a multi-dimensional wine that will pair well with anything off the grill this BBQ season!
