oxide, turning the soils red and giving it the distinct landscape the area is so well known for today! Like many others, the team at Thompson Steer recognized the unique and ideal conditions for growing Cabernet Sauvignon here - the red clay that's produced by the eroding limestone is ideal for water retention, plus the warm sun of South Australia ripens fruit like nowhere else in the world!
