Before the Sonoma Coast was a hotbed for elite Pinot Noir, Flowers was already there, pioneering vineyards on the rugged ridgelines above the Pacific. Today, this extreme terroir isn’t densely planted like Napa or even the Russian River Valley, except for a few of California’s most legendary producers like Marcassin and Peter Michael. But Flowers was among the first to prove that these windswept slopes could produce truly world-class Pinot Noir.

The 2022 Flowers Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir is a pure expression of the region’s greatness—wild berries, crushed violets, bright acidity, and that unmistakable coastal minerality that only these high-elevation sites deliver.

It’s a Pinot Noir built on elegance and precision, more in line with the refined, terroir-driven style of top Burgundy producers like Domaine Dujac or Sylvain Cathiard, rather than the richer, more opulent California Pinots from warmer regions.
