2020 Mt. Beautiful Chardonnay

People see New Zealand and automatically think the only white wine they make is Sauvignon Blanc; we are here to prove that idea wrong!
We found a stellar one from North Canterbury that is flat-out delicious!
Mt. Beautiful is one of our favorite wineries in New Zealand and this is a perfect example of why. The 2020 Chardonnay is floral and flinty with a full-bodied mouthfeel and a crisp finish that everyone will love.

"A wine that has begun it’s perfect drinking window, still taut and precise with aromas of nut and spice, an amalgamation of tree and citrus fruits along with some bottle development. 2022 Lachini Pinot Noir La Cruz Vineyard Sonoma Coast

The La Cruz (The Cross) vineyard is located at the Keller Estate Winery on a knoll overlooking the Petaluma Gap in Northern California, where some of the best Pinot Noir is being grown.
This is a wonderfully expressive Pinot with an explosion of red fruit and a classy, lengthy finish. Stock up on this one to prepare for the Spring ahead!

"This beautiful new 2022 Pinot Nor comes from the ‘La Cruz Vineyard’ which neighbors the Pacific Ocean in the Sonoma Coast AVA. Lachini has now been sourcing from this site for many years, as this saw a small portion of whole cluster fermentation. The resultant wine is jam-packed full of flavor, with good underlying tension. Pretty red fruits collide with tobacco leaf, refined tannins and shades of white pepper all line the palate. Finishing long this might be the finest edition of this wine made yet. Drink 2023-2033"

"Resting in 50% new French oak barrels for 14 months, the 2022 La Cruz Pinot Noir from Lachini pours a light purple-ruby core with a blueish rim. Immediately you are greeted with those wonderful Sonoma County Pinot notes of crushed huckleberries, blue plums, sweet Christmas spices, turned earth, graphite, and hints of graham cracker. Tannins are well-integrated and silky smooth while the perfect levels of acidity form the long finish. I love the fruit and earth notes you get on the mid-palate on the finish. 194 cases were produced."

This is a monster of a Cab that everyone needs to try this weekend!

Produced by Caseificio La Traversetolese in the village of Traversetolo, Parma, Italy.
This small, wonderfully-skilled dairy has limited production of cheese of only 19,000 wheels per year – each wheel is stamped by the town’s symbol, a winged goddess.
The cheese has a unique, beautiful white interior color, which earned it its nickname “white gold”. Its flavor is more subtle than most Parmigiano cheese – nutty, and significantly less salty than most.
This is partly due to the cow’s feed, as they gorge on rich and silky flax seed as part of their diet.

Based on the Reblochon de Savoie, and often called the ‘mini reblochon’, this pasteurized cheese from the Savoie region is made by 3rd generation cheesemakers.
It's buttery, a little grassy and very creamy. A mild orange washed rind, and a pudgy paste…this is a great substitute for tartiflette!
