Abruzzo, which sits on the Adriatic Sea in the central part of Italy, is a region on the rise with both upstarts and long-term stalwarts alike. The famed Nestore Bosco estate has been producing world-class Montepulciano here since the 19th Century, but the wines have never been better than they are today thanks to an upgrade in both facilities and vineyard management.
These days the fifth generation of Boscos produces a delicious style of wine that pays homage to tradition with just the slightest hint of modernity to showcase the tremendous terroir.
